Hadrian, 117-138. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 33 mm, 29.39 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 130. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P Bare head of Hadrian to right. Rev. S - C Hadrian-Horus standing front, head to right, stepping on crocodile and holding inverted spear in his right hand and parazonium in his left. BMC 1552. Cohen 1380. RIC 1451. Rare and with a very interesting reverse. Minor deposits and with a few light corrosion spots, otherwise, very fine.

The reverse alludes to Hadrian's visit to Egypt, during the course of which his favorite Antinoüs would famously drown in the Nile.
